U.S. Consumer Travel
Given that a large number of our consumer
and small business cardmembers are also active leisure
travelers, we have an opportunity to leverage our consumer
travel network - which is one of the largest agency networks
in the world - to better serve our customers and to grow the
business in the face of extremely tough competitive
pressures.
The American Express Consumer Travel business has three
segments: Our American Express-owned travel service offices; retail
outlets owned by American Express representatives; and American Express
Remote Delivery call centers, which offer travel services to Platinum,
Centurion and other cardmembers. Through these facilities, cardmembers
are able to receive service in a variety of ways, as they choose - in
person, by phone or by fax - in addition to the company's online
servicing. |
